AB3D (African Born 3D Printing) is a social enterprise involved with the production of 3D Printers and 3D Printing filament all from recycled waste materials. Through this, we create affordable and sustainable access to 3D printing by lowering the entry-level barrier and supporting the ecosystem using local resources and infrastructure in Kenya (Africa). Our FDM 3D Printers are manufactured locally from electronic waste parts, all from scratch. Each printer is unique depending on the type of electronic waste we harvest. AB3D is a the pace-setters in local manufacturing in Kenya and with our innovation being a social enterprise we, will like to show case our work at the Maker Faire Ruhr and open discussions on how the maker and innovation sector from the African perspective.
