Ring op het ding is a set of interlocking cardboard rings translating the visual identity of the Polytechnic Museum in Moscow into a participatory construction activity. During the activity, visitors are invited to build three dimensional structures multiplying and manipulating the visual identity towards exclusive DIY landscape. Children and parents will experience free form design under a set of pre-defined rules, concrete problem-solving when folding 2 dimensional cardboard sheets to 3 dimensional cubes, three dimensional organization and the strength of the single unit in the rigid whole. The activity helps to comprehend a mathematical subject in a hands on manner.
